Why Michael Leunig is my favourite writer

Michael Leunig is my favourite writer. Period. As an author and regular contributor in The Age newspaper he is at the epitaxy of modern poetry and social commentary. Each week he provides a wondrous perspective of current events in a sophisticated, caring and proactive manner. As a writing exercise, examine closely the structure of the poem. A simple  structure, it represents an existential angst simply, then converted into 1,2,1,2 poetry form. Have a go at this yourself!
